Adviento :: primera semana, "Esperanza" -- Advent :: first week, "Hope"

The advent word come from de latín adventus that means: coming, arrival, and it´s a time that christians take to prepare everything for Christmas and Jesús birth, just like all the preparation we do for the visits we have some times in our home. It starts the closer sunday to november 30 and it ends on december 24 and the point is to exhort believers to have hope in Jesus.

In this time of the year we have several lists of things to do, we have to buy presents, to buy us clothes, to bake cookies, to go out with our friends, the list have no end... Unfortunately many people have everything and in this time of the year they feel hopeless, and that´s what Jesus give us, hope, to everyone. If we feel a little hopeless in this season and other seasons, the best thing we can do is: a) pray, and ask for hope; b) read the bible, if we don´t know how to use it we can look for the words named concordances and look for the word hope, and then read all the verses about it; c) don´t feel hopeless by seeing your actual circumstances, we have a tomorrow everyday and we can trust that with God this tomorrow can be the best, this life isn´t perfect, most of us don´t have the life we imagined but there´s a tomorrow and with God we can have a better tomorrow.

Now we can light on our first advent candle, so everytime we see the candle we can think about hope and think that this season is not only for buying things and for planning parties... It´s about feel the hope we have in Jesus and remember his birth.
