Hola!!!! cuanto he extrañado escribir, y cuanto he extrañado las pequeñas conversaciones con cada uno de ustedes. Algunos no saben porque me ausente esta semana, solo dire que tuve problemas técnicos con mi blog y gracias a Dios están resueltos, fue difícil y de tener paciencia, pero los mensajes de algunos de ustedes fueron bellos y me llenaron de la paciencia que esto requería.  Gracias por sus comentarios y felicitaciones por mi aniversario de bodas, hace una semana quería agradecerles tan lindas palabras y detalles, Gracias!.

Hello!!!! I missed writing, and how much I missed the little conversations with each of you. Some of you don´t know why I was absent the past week, I'll only say I had technical problems with my blog and thank God, they´are resolved, it was difficult and I had to be patient, but messagesfrom some of you were beautiful and filled me with the patience that this problem required from me. Thank you for your comments and congratulations for my wedding anniversary, I wanted to thank you so nice words and details a week ago, Thank you!

Las temperaturas han bajado aquí en la ciudad, a mi simplemente me encanta! el poder usar los abrigos que la mayoría del año pasan guardados en el closet es muy lindo, así como la oportunidad de crear capas, ya ustedes saben cuanto me gustan, con este conjunto uso cuatro, blusa, suéter  trench y pañoleta, pero una puede agregar muchas mas, es al gusto propio. 

Temperatures have dropped here in the city, I just love it! Is so great that I can wear my coats that spend most of the year stored in the closet, and the opportunity to create layers,  you already know I like layers, I´m wearing four layers in this outfit, blouse, sweater, scarf and trench, but you can add many more, is about self taste.

Es tiempo de cuidarnos del frió cuando salgamos de casa, sin embrago si estamos en interiores o como yo en el carrousel del centro comercial, podemos sacarnos el trench y estar mas cómodas jajaja... 

It's time to take care of the cold when we leave home, however if you're indoors or like me in the mall's carousel, we can take off the trench and be more comfortable LOL...

Un estilo nautico para el otoño -- Navy style for fall

Hola a todos!!!! yo se que en el post de ayer mencione que para matar tiempo en la tarde del domingo fuimos a corretear a un parque, bueno estas son las bellas fotografías que el atardecer nos regalo. 

Hello everyone!!! I know I mentioned yesterday that to spend time quickly on sunday we went to the park to play, well, these are the photographs that sunset gave us.

Estuvimos jugando y pasamos un rato muy divertido, creo que las fotografías expresan lo bien que me la estaba pasando, es que ellos (mi esposo y mi peque), me hacen tan feliz...

We were playing and had a great time, I guess photographies shows how much I was enjoying the moment, they (hubby and my little girl), makes me so happy.

Siempre me han gustado los looks náuticos, y la verdad casi siempre se usan en verano, pero jugando con rayas y colores he logrado usarlo en otoño. Azul y blanco que no puede faltar, las rayas combinando rojo y un poco de amarillo que dio el destello de color dorado que solo el la naviera podemos encontrar.

I´ve always liked navy style, we use them especially in summer, but playing with stripes and colors I've created one for fall. Blue and white are basic, stripes combined with red and a little of yellow that gave the golden touch that only in the navy we can find.

Al fin! una noche especial -- At last! a special night

Hola a todos!!! espero hayan tenido un lindo fin de semana. El uso del bálsamo labial (chapstick), se ha empezado a hacer muy necesario por aquí... uuuu.... el frió es cortante. Yo se que mi país para algunos de ustedes que me visitan de Europa o Norteamérica es un país muy caliente, pero para nosotros esta temporada es invierno y nos morimos de frió mas que todo por las noches. La semana pasada no hice un post sobre las cosas pequeñas de la semana, quede muy cansada al final de la semana de VBS, pero aun así es una semana que no cambio por nada, me la he disfrutado en gran cantidad. 

Hello everyone!!! I hope you´ve had a great weekend. Chapstick has become needed here... uuuu... it´s freezing.  I know that for most of you who visits me from Europe and North America my country is hot, but for us this season is winter and is freezing even more in the nights. I didn´t do an enjoy the little things post last week, I was so tired at the end of VBS, but even with that I enjoyed it a lot.

Como saben el jueves estuvimos de aniversario con mi esposo, su agenda y la mía estaban tan apretadas que fue imposible salir ese día, sin embargo regrese a casa lo suficientemente temprano como para preparar una cenita especial para dos, estuvo ideal el momento. Pasamos nuestra salida para el sábado pero no recordábamos que ese día es el desfile navideño acá en la ciudad así que era imposible transitar por cualquier lado y la hora de llegada de mi esposo a casa tuvo un retraso significativo. Pasamos nuestra salida romántica para el día domingo, queríamos almorzar y pasar la tarde en un lugar muy especial, pero mi suegra quien iba a cuidar a mi hijita salio de la ciudad, yo se, ahora están pensando que no nos dieron tregua las circunstancias, pero lo mejor fue esperar, respirar y platicar jajaja...! Nos quedamos una dos horas y media en el Restaurante donde almorzamos mientras mi hija jugaba, luego fuimos al parque a jugar, y cuando dio la noche y mi suegra estaba de vuelta pudimos salir. Por si fuera poco, con las compras navideñas en domingo hay un caos de autos por todos lados, así que nos quedamos cerca en un restaurante que no era el previsto visitar pero cumplía con los requisitos de acogedor, luz tenue, rica comida, buen servicio y en este caso: lejos del caos céntrico de la ciudad en plenas compras navideñas. 

As you read on thursday was my anniversary, our agendas were tight and it was impossible to go out that day, however I returned home early to prepare a special dinner for two, it was an ideal moment. We agreed to go out on saturday but we didn´t remembered that day was the city Christmas parade so it was impossible to transit through the city and because of that my husband had a significant delay to arrive home. So we agreed to go out on sunday, we wanted to have lunch and spend the sunset in a special place, but my mother in law who was gonna take care of my daughter went out of the city, I know, now you´re thinking that was a lost cause, but the best was to breathe and talk LOL...! we stayed like two hours in the restaurant we were having lunch while our daughter was playing, then we went to the park and play, and in the night my mother in law was at her home to take care of our daughter. With holiday shopping is a chaos of cars everywhere on sunday, so we stayed in a close restaurant that was not scheduled to visit, but met the requirements of cozy, dimly lit, good food, good service and in this case away from the chaos of the city.

Nada salio conforme al plan, pero al final todo lo que queríamos era un tiempo solos, y si lo logramos, así que eso es mas que suficiente para nosotros. Recuerdo que cuando eramos novios teníamos tiempo de holgura para estas fechas pero conforme nos hacemos grandes y las responsabilidades son mas las agendas son mucho mas ocupadas, pero aun así, hay que hacer el tiempo  una cena, una tarde, un café, lo que sea, lo importante es estar con la persona, no importa el tiempo o lugar.

Nothing went according to the plan, but at the end all we wanted was some time alone, and we had it, so that's more than enough for us. I remember when we were dating we had a lot of time for these dates but as we get mature and responsibilities are more our agendas are much more busy, but we still have to make the time for dinner, or an evening, a coffee, whatever, the important thing is to be with the person you love, no matter the time or place.

Como podrán ver estábamos en un Restaurante italiano, y un Fetuccini Inferno fue muy reconfortante para este clima frió congelador, no soy de comida muy picante pero cuando se trata de salchichas alemanas siempre hago una excepción. 

As you can see we were at an Italian restaurant, and a Fetuccini Inferno  was very comforting for the freeze cold weather, I´m not a spicy food lover but when it comes to German sausages I always make an exception.

Pastel arco-iris -- Rainbow cake

Ya es miércoles y la semana cobra el color del arco-iris con este pastel que hicimos con mi pequeñita la semana pasada. Si tu me sigues en instagram puede que ya hayas visto una de las fotografías de este pastel. Los proyectos para hacer con los niños son infinitos, y sus ganas y creatividad también  Tengo muchos recuerdos de mi mami y nosotras (mis otras dos hermanas y yo), en la cocina ayudandole a hornear pies o pasteles, haciendo tortillitas o dobladitas del tamaño de nuestras manitas, son muy lindos recuerdos que he decidido que mi hija también los tenga, así que meterla en la cocina para mi es recrear mi niñez y regalarnos a ambas preciosos recuerdos que jamas saldrán de nuestra mente y corazón.

It's Wednesday and the week becomes colorful with this cake we did with my little girl last week. If you follow me on instagram you may have already seen one of the pictures of this cake. The projects to do with children are infinite, and their enthusiasm and creativity too, I have many memories of  my mom with us (my other two sisters and me), helping in the kitchen baking cakes and pies, making tortillas with the size of our little hands, those are very sweet memories that I´ve decided that my daughter can have too, so inviting her in the kitchen recreates my childhood and give us precious memories that will never come out of our minds and hearts.

Los niños y el color se mezclan muy bien, así que un pastel de colores fue una gran idea y es muy fácil de realizar.

Children and color mix very well, so a rainbow cake was a great idea and is very easy to make. 

1. Separa la masa de tu pastel (previamente preparada), en porciones de iguales cantidades. Separate your cake dough (previously prepared), in equal portions.
2. A cada porción mezcla un color, usando colorante vegetal. Mix each portion with a different color, using food coloring.

3. En tu molde previamente preparado deja caer cada mezcla color por color. In your prepared mold drop each mixing color.
4. Hornéalo conforme a tu receta. Bake according to your recipe.

Y este es el resultado, un pastel con los colores del arco-iris.

And this is the result, a cake with rainbow colors.

Cuarto Aniversario -- Fourth Anniversary

Creo que en este post solo hablare de la persona mas importante de mi vida, quiero que sepa lo mucho que significa para mi. Hoy es un día tan especial, es mi cuarto aniversario de matrimonio, wow! el tiempo vuela, pero hemos estado juntos por mas de seis años. No puedo expresar lo que para mi ha significado el matrimonio en un solo post, yo estoy convencida que nací para casarme con mi esposo, y mas que eso nací para ser su compañera y besarlo todos los días de mi vida. Hoy es un día en el que recordamos el comienzo de este gran viaje, como todas las parejas hemos tenido nuestros momentos mágicos y otros no tanto, pero puedo decir con sinceridad que no ha habido un día en el que no me sienta completamente feliz. 

I think that today I´m only gonna talk about the most important person in my life, I want him to know how much he means to me. Today it's a special day, it´s my fourth anniversary, wow! time flies, but we´ve been together for more than six years now. I can´t express in one post how much the marriage means to me, I'm convinced I´ve borned to get married to my husband, I was born to accompany him and kiss him everyday for the rest of my life. Today we remember the beginning of this journey, as all couples we've had magical moments and others not so magical, but I can honestly say that there's not even one day where I don´t feel completely happy.

Me siento dichosa de tener a mi lado a un hombre considerado, comprensivo, quien se ha convertido en mi amigo y compañero con quien puedo compartir mis facetas mas lindas y también las mas débiles, en definitiva el me ayuda a fortalecer y pulir lo mejor de mi, como esposo el mejor y como padre igual, un hombre protector de su familia que me brinda la confianza necesaria en todo momento. 

I feel lucky to have with me a considered men, who have became in my best friend and companion, someone I can share the most beautiful sides with and also my weak sides, definitely he helps me to strengthen and polish the best of myself, he´s the best husband and the best father, very protective of us, he gives me the confidence I always need.

Esto ha sido todo un viaje que aun empieza, puedo ver cuanto hemos madurado juntos y como hemos aprendido a que en nuestros desacuerdos no gane ninguno sino que siempre gane el matrimonio.  Trabajamos en nuestros puntos mas débiles y reforzamos lo mejor que tenemos, nuestro amor, y tratamos de recordar en cada momento que la amistad, el amor, la confianza, comunicación, honestidad y Dios nos une mas día a día. 

This has been a great journey that it´s only starting, I can see how much we have grown up together and how we've learned in our disagreements that none of us have to win, we let the marriage be the winner. We work hard in our weak sides and we strengthen the best we have, our love, and we try to remember all the time that friendship, love, confidence, communication, honesty and God unites us everyday.

Siempre he escuchado decir que los seres humanos no podemos vivir solos, es cierto en mi caso, y vivo mi vida con la persona que mas amo, gracias Dios por esta bendición, mi pareja perfecta, mi todo, no imagino mi vida sin ti, te amo y gracias por estos años. 

I´ve always heard that human beings cannot live alone, that´s a true in my life, and I live my life with the person I love the most, thanks God for this blessing, my perfect match, my everything, I can't imagine my life without you, I love you and thanks for all these years.

Circuito moda :: diseñadores emergentes -- emerging designers

Hola queridos amigos. Continuo hoy con mi saga del evento de Circuito Moda, al cual asistí hace un par de semanas, y en el que me empape de muy buena moda guatemalteca. Este evento me abrió a conocer mas de las cosas buenas de mi país, no solo en cuestión de moda, sino también muy buenos guatemaltecos talentosos, llenos de creatividad y arte. El evento se realizo en las afueras del Museo de Arte Moderno, Carlos Merida, un lugar hermoso que de noche se ve espectacular.

Hello my dear friends. Continuing my series of Circuito Moda´s Event, which I attended a few weeks ago, and where I´ve soaked of great Guatemalan fashion. this event opened me the door to learn more about the good things about my country,  not only about fashion, but also to know more about great talented, full of creativity and art Guatemalans. The event was outside of the Modern Art Museum, Carlos Merida, a beautiful place that looks spectacular at night.

Cada diseñador con un gusto propio y con propuestas innovadoras pero por sobre todo con sello guatemalteco, colecciones llenas de color, vibrantes y a  la vez frescas fueron las que tuvimos la oportunidad de disfrutar esa noche. No tome fotografías de las pasarelas pero les traigo algunos videos, ni las fotografías ni los videos pueden hacerle justicia a todo lo lindo que se presento esa noche.

Each designer with an own taste, we had the opportunity to enjoy that night of innovative proposals but mostly stamped with Guatemala, colorful, fresh and vibrant collections, . I didn´t took pictures of the runways but I brought some videos, no photographs or videos can do justice to everything I saw that night.

Esperando la mejor semana de noviembre -- Waiting for the best week of november

Hola amigos... los días ya están fríos por aquí... Y muchos ya estamos resfriados, pero la semana apenas comienza y la mía promete maravillosas cosas. Como si nada ha pasado el año y ya estamos en la temporada de las escuelitas bíblicas  algo que ningún niño debiese perderse a mi criterio. Mi peque ha asistido desde un añito de edad y la espera con ansias todo el año, al igual que su mami, porque yo aunque no tengo la profesión de maestra, en esa semana me armo de coraje y enseño, aunque no lo crean, enseño en preescolares, aunque al meditarlo no soy del todo la que enseña ya que aprendo mucho de los niños, así que el aprendizaje es reciproco.

Hello my friends... the days are already cold in here... And many of us are already sick, but the week has just begun and promises wonderful things. The year has gone and we are in the season of bible schools, something any child shouldn´t miss in my opinion. My little girl has attended since she was one year old and wait for this event all year long, like mom, because even when I don´t have the teaching profession in this week I work up the courage and teach, believe it or not, I teach in Pre-K, although I'm not quite sure that I´m the only one who teaches because I learn a lot from children, so learning is reciprocal.

Todas las escuelitas bíblicas son temáticas,  hemos tenido el rancho vaquero, Australia, la gran manzana (NY), y este año Las Maravillas del Mundo, y soy testiga que TODO es planificado con tanto amor y ahincó y es por eso que cada peque se va con ganas de mas y de regresar el próximo año, así como nosotros los adultos. Esta semana es de gran trabajo, actividades, y ademas es mi aniversario de bodas WOW! pueden imaginarse que maravillosa semana me espera???? Ya no puedo esperar que sea lunes y enseñar de Dios a los peques y de disfrutar un día de una cita romántica con mi amigo, compañero, confidente, esposo etc, etc, etc, etc.

All the bible schools are thematic, we´ve had the saddle ridge ranch, Australia, the big apple adventure, and this year we'll have the amazing wonders, and I am witness that EVERYTHING is planned with such love and care and that's why every little boy and girl goes home wanting more and wanting to return next year. This week is hard work, activities, and also is my wedding anniversary WOW! can you imagine the wonderful week I expect???? I can´t wait for this week and teach the kids about God and enjoy a day of a romantic date with my friend, companion, confidant, husband etc, etc, etc, etc.

Respecto al conjunto de hoy, incluye accesorios sobre accesorios, pañoletas, collares, vuelos y pliegues, algo bueno de ser petit es usar sobre y sobre todo, crear capas, lo cual es conveniente en invierno y a nosotras nos vale y nos queda bien, yo no temería de ponerme capas sobre capas.

About today´s outfit, includes accessories, scarves, necklaces, ruffles and folds, something good about being petit  is to wear layers, which is convenient in winter and looks great on us, I wouldn't be afraid to put layers upon layers.

Les deseo una semana tan linda como la que me espera, les sigo pidiendo sus oraciones por mis hermanos guatemaltecos que sufren las secuelas del terremoto y  si tienen un segundo mas por todos los niños que llegaran a la escuelita bíblica.

I wish you a week as nice as the one I expect, I ask for your prayers for my guatemalan brothers who suffer the consequences of the earthquake and if you have one more second for all the children who will come to the bible school.

Ya no aguanto que empiece esta preciosa semana...
