El miércoles pasado asistí al Fashion Show de Revista Amiga, este es un trabajo en conjunto con Almacenes Siman, y en el se demostró una vez mas el talento joven de varios guatemaltecos, estudiantes de diseño de modas, así como la gran participación de Manuel de la Cruz, que debo decir era lo que mas me emocionaba ver, este diseñador guatemalteco se ha abierto una suma de grandes oportunidades a nivel internacional, así que esta era mi oportunidad para ver su trabajo. 

Last Wednesday I attended the Amiga Magazine's Fashion Show, they work with Siman Stores, and it proved once again that there's a great young talent in Guatemala, fashion design students and the big participation of Manuel de la Cruz, who I must say was what most excited me to see, this guatemalan designer opened a huge door with international opportunities, so this was my chance to see his work.

Me encanta que en este fashion show los estudiantes no solo muestran su talento sino que les dan un premio al mejor de una cantidad de dinero prudente para empezar su linea propia. Aparte del ganador debo decir que mi favorita fue Lucy Ojeda, a quien pueden ver en las fotos abajo, tal vez no fue la favorita del jurado pero si la favorita para muchos en el publico, yo incluida.

I love that in this fashion show the students not only show their talent but they give them  a prize to the best and it was a prudent money amount so they could start their own line. Besides of the winner I must say my favorite was Lucy Ojeda, who you can see in the photos below, maybe it wasn't the jury's favorite but she definetely was the favorite for many in the audience, myself included.

A Manuel de la Cruz lo recibieron con una gran bienvenida, así que todos estábamos muy emocionados por lo que estábamos a punto de ver. A continuación mis favoritos de este diseñador.
Manuel de la Cruz designs were received with a great welcome, so we were all very excited about what we were about to see. Now my favorites from this designer. 

  

Vemos una limpia ejecución en los detalles de Manuel de la Cruz, en definitiva no ha llegado tan lejos por nada, tiene un talento que se nota y me alegra poder haber conocido su trabajo de cerca. No se si esta sea la única vez que podre verlo así que quedo muy satisfecha...
We see one earned execution in the details of Manuel de la Cruz, he really hasn´t come that far for nothing, he has a talent that is noticed and I'm happy to have known his work closely. I dont know if this is the only chance I had to see him so I´m very satisfied...

Fifth anniversary...

Es tan difícil para mi armar este post, porque quiero escribir tanto.... Hoy estoy de aniversario con mi esposo, son cinco años ya y es increíble...! El matrimonio puede ser tan maravilloso si es con la persona correcta, y yo me case con la persona correcta... 

It is so hard for me to put together this post, because I want to write about a lot of things.... Today is my anniversary, five years now and it's amazing...! Marriage can be so wonderful if it's with the right person, and I marry the right one...

Hace cinco años estaba preparándome para mi gran noche y hoy también, pero no quería salir sin compartirles esta sesión de fotos que mi hermana hizo para nosotros por nuestro quinto aniversario... 

Five years ago I was preparing for my big night and today as well, but I didn't want to leave without sharing this photoshoot that my sister made for us for our fifth anniversary...

Mi esposo no es muy de fotografías, él es quien esta detrás pero nunca frente a la cámara, y hoy él lo hizo por mi, son cinco años y quería plasmar este bello recuerdo. He visto la voluntad de Dios sobre nuestras vidas y puedo gritar que cinco años después no solo estoy agradecida con Dios por ponerlo en mi vida y que hoy amo mucho mas. En estos cinco años aprendí a amar de verdad, aprendí que al amar das mas y no te importa, piensas mas en que tu pareja este bien y ya no que solo tu estés bien, te esmeras porque otra persona sea feliz, en fin, me desprendí del egoísmo y del individualismo a un nivel que me ha dejado experimentar una paz que solo el verdadero amor te brinda.

Hubby doesn´t like photo, he is who is behind but never in front of the camera, and today he did it for me, it´s five years and I wanted to capture this beautiful memory. I have seen the will of God in our lives and I can shout that five years later I am not only grateful to God for putting him in my life but now I love him more. In these five years I learned to about true love, I learned that when you love you give more and you don´t mind, you think about your partner more than about yourself,  you care about someone else happiness, I let go selfishness and individualism to a level that has made me experience a peace that only true love gives can give.

Gracias a mi mejor amigo Jeff, por compartir tu vida conmigo, por apoyarme en todo, por hacerme sentir amada, cuidarme y valorarme... Te amo Jeff...!

Thanks to my best friend, for sharing your life with me, for supporting me in everything, for making me feel loved, for take care of me and for value me... I love you Jeff!

Saying goodbye to my legs

Me encanta Noviembre, yo ya les he dicho que es un mes muy especial para mi, por tantas fechas con significado que tiene. Esta semana es mi semana favorita del año, es la escuela bíblica de vacaciones, llevo a mi peque a esta escuela desde que tiene un año, y la verdad en ella tengo la mayoría de los mejores recuerdos con mi hija, allí no somos mama e hija sino somos amigas, todo el tiempo bailando y cantando, jugando y demás. La paso muy bien y es una semana completa donde logro salir de la rutina y me compenetro en una actividad maravillosa con amigos también. Una de las partes mas importantes de mi vida es Dios, Él me ha dado demasiado, así que el pensar el dedicarle una semana a una actividad que es para que el brille es demasiado poco, no lo creen?

I love November, I've already told you is a very special month for me, with many dates that have meaning for me. This week is my favorite week of the year, Biblic Vacation School, I took my little girl to this school since she was one year, and the truth is that I have most of the best memories with her there, there's no mom and daughter, there we're friends, all the time dancing and singing, playing etc. I have a great time there and is all the week where I can get out of my routine and I empathize in a wonderful activity with friends too. One of the most important parts of my life is God, He has given me too much, so I think to spend a week at an activity that is for him to shine is like nothing, don't you think?

Por eso mismo esta semana no podre estar mucho en las redes sociales, porque estaré muy ocupada, pero tratare de publicar un post diario de outfit, lo haré de outfits porque realmente es lo mas fácil, así que no me ausentare del todo...

That is why this week I won´t be able to be much on socials, because I'll be very busy, but i will try to post a daily outfit, because is the easiest, so I won´t be entirely absents... 

Hoy verán que uso de nuevo mi falda verde, y casi es para despedir a mis piernas porque el frió Noviembre se vino con mucho viento, así que creo que guardare mis piernas un poco... Pero no se si pueda mucho tiempo, me encanta tanto usar faldas que estoy segura que a la primera oportunidad de sol volveré a ellas jajaja... 

Today I´m wearing again my green J. Crew skirt, and it's almost to say goodbye to my legs because the cold November came windy, so I think i will have to keeps my legs a for a while... But I love to wear skirts so I'm sure at the first chance of sunshine I´ll go back to them LOL...

Me encanta la combinación del verde y aqua, por eso estoy usando mis aretes diseñados por Anna Dello Russo para H&M, intercalando un midi ring también en aqua para contrastar. He querido dejar este atuendo casual con una t-shirt blanca, no hay nada mejor que ellas para mantener un outfit cómodo y casual. 

I love the green and aqua combination, so I decided to wear my statement earrings designed by Anna Dello Russo for H&M, inserting an aqua midi ring also to contrast with. I wanted to keep this outfit casual with a white t-shirt, there is nothing better than that to keep an outfit comfortable and casual.

Spring colors, fall touches and a necklace inspiration

El fin de semana esta aquí, este día es muy especial porque una de mis mejores amigas se casa y eso me llena de mucha alegría. Ayer no hubo post de las cosas pequeñas porque estaba con mucho trabajo, a veces el trabajo llama a la puerta y es demandante, pero hoy es sábado, un día especial y necesito relajarme, ir a consentirme al spa y disfrutar del gran evento por la noche, y digo grande porque no hay cosa mas especial que ver a una pareja declararse su amor eterno... 

Weekend's here, this day is very special because one of my best friends gets married and it fills me with great joy. Yesterday there was no post about the little things because i had a lot of work, sometimes work knocks the door and is demanding, but today is Saturday, a special day and I need some relax, get spoil at the spa and enjoy the great event by the night, and I say great because there's nothing more special than seeing a couple declare their undying love...

Hace un año traía los colores primaverales al otoño con una falda lila y un suéter verde de cashmere. Esta vez hago lo mismo pero con una gama de colores pastel diferente. Hacia mucho quería crear un outfit inspirado en mi collar Escarlata, este hermoso collar tiene tonos rosa, aqua y plateado. Una base aqua la cree con este pantalón H&M, el cual adquirí del área de niñas, si! yo se, pero soy petite, y eso hacemos algunas veces, comprar en ese departamento... Una blusa palo rosa con un suéter coral el cual sostengo con un cinturón delgado animal print dando con el ese toque otoñal que identifica al animal print con la época. 

A year ago I brought spring colors to autumn with a purple skirt and a green cashmere sweater . This time I do the same but with different colors. Towards long I wanted to create an outfit inspired in my Escarlata necklace, this beautiful necklace features shades of pink, aqua and silver. I create a base with this H&M pants, which I acquired in the girls area, yeah! I know, but I'm petite, and sometimes we have to buy in that department... A rosewood blouse with a coral sweater which I decided to hold with a thin animal print belt, giving with this that autumnal touch the animal print brings in this season.

Para equilibrar el color y las texturas use un clutch neutro, de cuero, y por supuesto, la cereza en el pastel, el punto de partida y objeto de inspiración, mi collar diseñado por Escarlata, con el que me sentí identificada a primera vista. 

I balanced the color and textures by using a neutral  leather clutch, and of course, the icing on the cake, the starting point and an inspiration, my necklace designed by Escarlata, with which I got identified at first glance.

No guardes la ropa de verano en otoño, creando capas con tu ropa de verano no solo vas a dar color a la época sino le das a tu closet funcionalidad y versatilidad... 

Dont keep your summer clothes in the fall, creating layers with your summer clothes you will not only add color to the ´season but you´ll give to your closet functionality and versatility...

My garden in a bridal shower

Es jueves y casi no puedo creer que el sábado se casa una de mis mejores amigas... Hoy les quiero compartir algunas fotos de su despedida de soltera, la cual celebramos entre algunas amigas en la Zurich, y en la cual algunos de mis floreros que les mostré hace un par de semanas tuvieron protagonismo. It's Thursday and I can't believe next Saturday one of my best friends marries... Today I want to share some photos of her bachelorette party, which we celebrated with some friends in Zurich, and in which some of my vases that I showed you a few weeks ago had prominence. Lo que use ese día, medio gris, medio soleado, fue un outfit blanco y negro, esta falda es uno de mis diseños y pronto estará a la venta junto a otras piezas. 

What I wore that day, half gray, half sunny, it was a black and white outfit, this skirt is one of my designs and will soon be on sale along with other pieces.
