Being brave isn´t always easy

Todos tenemos sueños, todos tenemos metas, grandes, pequeñas, de beneficio propio o mejor aun, de beneficio para multitudes, a corto o largo plazo, pero en cada una las hay. Tengo la dicha de haber luchado por varias metas durante mi vida, algunas las alcance y otras no, en algunas el resultado lleno mis expectativas y en otras no, lo cierto es que en cada una necesite ayuda, de Dios, de mi familia, de mis amigos, etc.

We all have dreams, we all have goals, big, small, self-serving or better yet, goals with benefit for many people, short or long term, but in each of us they exist. I have the joy of having fought for several goals in my life, some of them reached and some others not, some result full my expectations and some others not, the fact is that in every single one I needed help from God, my family, friends, etc..

Una de las cosas que me llamo la atención de trabajar con Keds, es la iniciativa que ellos han tomado de ayudar a chicas como tu o como yo, me encanta, es allí cuando la moda o las tendencias se convierten en algo mas, cuando se compenetran con las personas y las historias que hay detrás de ellas. 

One of the things that made me feel great abut working with Keds, is the initiative they have taken to help girls like you or me, I love it, it is there when fashion or trends become something more, when they connect with the people and the stories behind them.

Como guatemalteca se que en nuestro país hay muchas ideas emprendedoras, pero las ideas y las intenciones deben salir de ser una idea a ser hechos, y esta vez me complace darles a conocer que Keds quiere ayudar también en Guatemala. Cualquiera que sea tu sueño, Keds te das las herramientas y el soporte necesario.  Uno de los objetivos es que tu sueño sea fiel a ti misma y lo que eres, les anima a ser valientes y aventurarse, están interesados en el sueño de todas las jovencitas en el mundo. Desde ayudarte con una enfermedad a ayudarte con tu carrera profesional, es muy amplio. Keds esta asociada con GLI (Girls Leadership Institute) para hacer estos sueños realidad, me encanta el lema de esta institución, "Querer algo nunca es suficiente. Es como vas tras lo que importa. Ser valiente es algo que todos podemos aprender a ser. Es en parte corazón y habilidades que tu puedes practicar. Una frase de Rachel Simmons. 

As a Guatemala women I know our country have many entrepreneurial ideas, but the ideas and intentions must come from an idea to be something done, and this time I am pleased to let you know that Keds also want help in Guatemala. Whatever your dream is, Keds give you the necessary tools and support. One of the goals for Keds is you can get your dream come true by staying true to yourself and who you are, encourage you to be brave and get into your own adventure, they are interested in the dream of all girls in the world. Hairstyles inspiration

Últimamente a medida que el calor ha acrecentado mi cabello largo se ha vuelto un poco molesto. Me da tanto calor, y como no, si tengo el cabello hasta la cintura, así que después de las vacaciones de semana santa a finales de abril he decidido cortarlo, siiii!!! Ademas mi amiga blogger Iliana me ha inspirado después de su cambio radical de look, que le quedo hermoso!

Lately, as the heat has increased my long hair has become a bit annoying, and of course, I have length hair to my waist, so after the April holidays I decided to cut it out, yeahhhh! My blogger friend Iliana has also inspired me after a radical makeover, she´s beautiful!

La parte difícil para mi es que estoy enamorada de mi cabello largo, y mi esposo también lo ama. Aparte mi forma favorita de llevar mi cabello es la messy, amo mi cabello secado al natural y alborotado, así que debo buscar un corte que me permita llevarlo así. Estuve buscando estilos y estos cuatro han captado mi atención, pero todos me gustan y mucho, así que estoy abierta a que me ayuden a escoger el correcto con estos o con otro que me propongan...

The hard part for me is that I love my long hair, and my husband loves it too. Besides, my favorite way to wear my hair is messy way, I love to dry my hair naturally and tousled, so I´m looking for a cut that allows me to wear it like that. I was looking for some styles and these four have caught my attention, but I like them all, so I'm open my mind for you to help me to choose the right one with these or others you can propose...

April Vibes

He decidido empezar la primera semana de abril con mucha energía, el verano esta aquí y la vibra esta cambiando, así que porque no poner mas sabor y color a todo! Hablando de sabor, creo que ya es tiempo de otra receta, espero publicar una pronto... Pero hablando de color, saben que los labios rojos son unos de mis favoritos, y hoy son los que pintan este post. 

I decided to start April´s first week with a lot of energy, summer´s here and vibes are changing, so why not add more flavor and color to all! Speaking of flavor, I think it's time for a new recipe, hope I can post one soon... But talking about color, you know red lips are one of my faves, and today they´re painting this post.

He estado usando mi clutch de Maria´s bag mucho últimamente, se presta mucho a mis outfits casuales pero también formales y sus colores lo hacen en muchas maneras muy versátil. Completaba muy bien mi outfit de hoy. Primero, quería sacar a pasear mis jeans mas viejos, hacia mucho que no los usaba, también quería darle uso a esta nuevo top de Dress Code, el cual esta hermoso (y ustedes deben ordenar ya porque es un must para este verano), tiene estos pequeños detalles que le dan un aire étnico pero a la vez muy sofisticado por su contraste de texturas. Luego al tomar mi Maria´s Bag pase de la idea de crear un look neutral a uno colorido agregando esta pulsera amarilla con dorado y labios rojos que hacían un match ideal con mi clutch. Un cabello recogió y estaba lista para mi fin de semana caluroso.

I've been wearing my Maria's clutch much lately, is very well suited to my casual and not to casual outfits and it´s colors makes it versatile in many ways. It nicely complemented today´s outfit. First, I wanted my old jeans to take a walk out of my closet, I also wanted to wear my new Dress Code´s top, which is beautiful (and you should order now because it´s a must this summer ), it has these little details that gives an ethnic air but very sophisticated for its textures contrast. By taking my Maria's bag I passed from the idea of ​​creating a neutral look to create a colorful one by adding a yellow bracelet and red lips that made a perfect match with my clutch. 

También debo mencionar que el lugar donde tomamos las fotos me encanto por el contraste de los fondos. Muy rústicos ambos pero sus diferencias tenían un atractivo, no se si solo a mis ojos o a los suyos también...

I should also mention the place where we took the photos, I loved the fund´s contrast. Very rustic but both differences had something attractive, I don´t know if I´m the only one who see it...

Summer with Keds

Hola amigos que tal! Ayer les mostré moda y hoy mas moda. La semana pasada les hable de la nueva colección de Taylor Swift para Keds, pero me he puesto a husmear todas las colecciones y todas me gustan. El verano esta esperándonos y los outfits de verano se caracterizan por ser frescos y cómodos. Así que mientras yo voy por mis Keds estoy viendo mas opciones para usarlos durante todo el verano. 

Hello my friends! Yesterday was about fashion and today moreof it. Last week I told you about the new collection for Keds by Taylor Swift, but I began to sniff all collections and  I really like all. Summer is waiting and summer outfits are characterized for being cool and comfortable. So while I wait for my Keds I'm seeing more options to wear throughout the summer.

Summer Fashion Show by Siman

El pasado miércoles tuvo lugar el tan esperado Fashion Show de Verano a cargo de Siman. Primero que nada quiero contarles que el lugar fue fabuloso, muy veraniego, era una noche a lo full verano, estos chicos que ven abajo se mandaron con un espectáculo de surf, en una piscina de olas artificial en Akua, la música, las luces, la forma escalonada del publico, todo funcionaba.

Last Wednesday the awaited Summer Fashion Show by Siman took place. First of all I want to tell you the place was fabulous, very summery, these guys you see below gave us a surfing show with artificial waves in Akua, the music, the lights, the echelon way of the public, everything worked great.

Para esa noche escogí una falda floreada con fondo negro, un crop top negro de encaje de, ambas piezas de Dress Code, unos zapatos altos negros, y un statemente necklace de Beyoutiful, lo diferente que quise agregar fue una trenza de cola de pescado muy veraniega que me hicieron en Fringe y el maquillaje mas que todo en tonos dorados con mucha luz a cargo de Picme. 

For that night I chose a floral skirt with black background, a black lace crop top, both pieces from Dress Code, black heels and a statemente necklace from BeYoutiful, the difference I wanted to add was a fish braid, very summery I got from  Fringe and my makeup more than anything had bright golds colors by PicMe.

Antes de empezar el show, el equipo de Siman nos esperaba para conocer nuestra opinión acerca de las características que esperábamos que tuviera la nueva Fashion Icon de Siman, que escogerían esa misma noche tras varias fases de preparación.

Before the show started,  Siman team expected us to know our opinion about the things we expected the new Fashion Icon for Siman to have, who would be picked that night after many stages of preparation.

Luego todo empezó, y una de las cosas que quiero mencionar es que el styling de este fashion show me pareció una versión mejorada a los anteriores, y básicamente era una muestra de outfits para este verano que nos espera, muchos crop tops, skorts, vestidos y pantalones transparentes, bikinis, looks muy frescos y coloridos. Los colores mas destacados fueron los náuticos, aqua, neutros, y algunos matices neón. Les dejo algunas fotos de algunos outfits que destacaron.

Then it all started, and one of the things I want to mention is that the styling of this fashion show seemed improved to the previous versions, and basically was a sign of outfits for this summer that awaits us, many crop tops, skorts, transparent and colorful dresses and pants, bikinis, cool looks. The most prominent colors were nautic colors, aqua, neutrals, and some neon shades. I leave some photos of some outfits that stood out.

Mas tarde se dio a conocer en la pasarela a la nueva Fashion Icon, que desde aquí me atrevo a felicitar, la competencia estuvo rigurosa, las chicas eran bellas y con una muy buena actitud, pero solo había lugar para una, lastimosamente, así que aplausos a todas y felicidades a la ganadora.

Later the new Fashion Icon was unveiled on the runway, I dare to congratulate her, the competition was rigorous, the girls were beautiful and a with a very cool attitude, but it was only room for one, unfortunately, so cheers to all the girls and congratulations to the winner.

Una de las cosas que mas anhelaba era compartir con las ganadoras de las entradas que sortee esa semana, así que sin mas aproveche a sacarme algunas fotos con ellas... Les muestro las fotografías en las cuales verán que soy realmente petite jajaja... 

One of the things I wanted thst night was to share with the winners tickets I gave away that week, so without to much to think I took some pictures with them... in these photos you´sll see I´m really petite LOL...

Y por ultimo, algunas fotos con mi amiga blogger Fleur, a la que tuve el gusto de encontrar al final de la noche... Quisiera cerrar el post de hoy felicitando a Siman, ya que es la primera vez que hacen un fashion show por ellos mismos, y el resultado fue muy bueno, así que les deseo muchos éxitos como este en adelante...
