Hola después de tantos días, no he querido ausentarme a propósito, pero he tenido muchísimo trabajo de lo cual estoy agradecida, y por las noches estaba muy cansada y quería dormir, zzz... así que hoy he hecho un tiempo para regresar a la blogosfera y no dejar pasar la oportunidad de contarles que el día martes fui a una muy linda expo de diseño industrial, donde se exhiben productos de diseñadores industriales guatemaltecos muy talentosos. 

Hello, it´s been many days, I didn´t got away on purpose, but I´ve had a lot of work which I am grateful for, and at night I was very tired and all I wanted was to sleep, zzz ... so today I made ​​time to return to the blogosphere for not miss the opportunity to tell you that last Tuesday I went to a very nice industrial design expo, exhibiting products made for talented guatemalan industrial designers.

No sabia nada sobre este evento, pero uno de los diseñadores me hizo una cordial invitación, Luis Quintana de la marca Estilo Quetzal, rápidamente le dije que si quería ir y la verdad mi esposo y yo pasamos un rato muy agradable, salimos de la rutina, compartimos con gente nueva, conocimos talento y productos 100% guatemaltecos, en fin, una noche llena de diseño...

I didn´t knew anything about this event, but one of the designers invited me, Luis Quintana from Estilo Quetzal brand, I quickly told him I really wanted to go and hubby and I really had a great time there, we leave the routine, share with new people, met talent and products 100% guatemalan, a night full of design...

Tuvo lugar en el Museo de Arte Moderno, y en un espacio muy pequeño habían grandes piezas únicas, fue una noche muy agradable, era el coctel de inauguración y había una deliciosa degustacion de vinos orgánicos, así que fue una noche para disfrutar... 

It took place at the Modern Art Museum, and in a very small space they had unique pieces, was a very pleasant evening, it was the opening cocktail and had a delicious organic wine tasting, so it was a night to enjoy...

Entre los diseñadores que expusieron estaban:: Hector Ponce, Gloria Escobar, Luis Quintana, Juan Carlos Noguera, Omar Crespo, David Ajmac, Sofia Quintana, Emma Gutierrez, Julio Melara, Carmen Valenzuela, Sofia Veliz, Sissy Wong, Cesar Sosa, Ovidio Morales, Elisa Gutierrez y Luis Días, ellos estaban allí presentando sus obras, fue un poco difícil tomar fotografías porque era mucha gente en un espacio pequeño pero al menos pudimos tomar algunas...

Among the designers who were exposed was:: Hector Ponce, Gloria Escobar, Luis Quintana, Juan Carlos Noguera, Omar Crespo, David Ajmac, Sofia Quintana, Emma Gutierrez, Julio Melara, Carmen Valenzuela, Sofia Veliz, Sissy Wong, Cesar Sosa, Ovidio Morales, Elisa Gutierrez and Luis Díaz, they were there to present their work, was a little bit hard to take pictures because it was a lot of people in a small space but at least we have a few...

 Gloria Escobar mostró parte de su colección "Tierra Negra", diseñada para la marca Estilo Quetzal, que basa sus diseños en el concepto de gratitud a la tierra. Son bolsos para dama, artesanales elaborados en Quetzaltenango.

Gloria Escobar showed part of her collection "Black Earth", designed for the brand Estilo Quetzal,http://www.estiloquetzal.com/ which bases its designs on the concept of gratitude to the Earth. They´re women handbags, made ​​in Quetzaltenango.

 Emma Gutierrez presento esta lampara a la que llamo lluvia, hecha de tubos de ensayo y acero inoxidable, es hermosa, OH! y pueden ver parte de nosotros a través del espejo...

Juan Carlos Noguera presento este Violín Electrico Muut, que ya fue expuesto en la Bienal de Diseño de Madrid en 2010, fue tallado a mano a base de maderas duras guatemaltecas, llamo mucho nuestra atención...

Y el famoso Tuki de Carlos Quintana, que son grandes, artesanales, con asas de cuero, parte de su colección "Personajes", cuyo objetivo es mostrar a guatemaltecos destacados en los productos de la colección... 

And the famous Tuki by Carlos Quintana, which are large, handcrafted, with leather handles, part of his collection "Characters", whose goal is to show important guatemalan people in the products featured in the collection...

Doy gracias a Luis Quintana por su invitación, la pasamos muy bien, y les invito a ir este domingo, que es el ultimo día de la exhibición para conocer tanto talento, tantos productos, tanta cosa linda que hay en Guatemala... Hasta la próxima...!

Father´s day breakfast

Feliz día del padre a todos los papis que me leen... Que alegría tan grande el poder celebrar este día tan especial, tengo la dicha de tener un magnifico papa y un maravilloso esposo que es un gran padre, así que Dios me ha bendecido con dos super hombres en mi vida y yo no podría estar mas agradecida por ello...

Happy Father's Day to all the dads who read me... What a great joy is to celebrate this special day, I have the bless of having a wonderful dad and a wonderful husband who is a great father, so God has blessed me with two supermen in my life and I could not be more grateful for...

Quiero compartir estas fotografías de lo que fue el desayuno especial para mi esposo. Yo siempre comparto proyectos caseros y les animo a hacerlos y no solo verlos, pero a veces hay que dar ele ejemplo y con ello hablar, así que tome la iniciativa y realice este proyecto que fue uno de los que les compartí el la guía artesanal de regalos del día del padre, en el post del viernes pasado. No puedo creer lo fácil que fue y el resultado fue mas que hermoso, disfrutamos este desayuno demasiado...

I wanted to share these pictures with you of the special breakfast for my husband. I´m always sharing home projects and encourage you to do them and not only see them, but sometimes you have to give the example before to talk, so I took the initiative of making this project that was one of those I shared  in the Father's Day craft gifts guide in last friday's post. I can not believe how easy it was and the result was more than beautiful, we really enjoyed this breakfast...

cuatro años y tan interesada en el mundo y emocionada por la vida... Eres cauta para hacer amigos pero cuando estas de buen humor platicas con todas las personas a tu alrededor, no dudas en hacer que las personas sepan que piensas, sea bueno o malo, como si llevaras el corazón en la bolsa. Eres una de las niñas mas cosquilludas del mundo y tus carcajadas son la mejor música en el mundo, en especial las carcajadas que sueltas por cosas tontas... te encanta leer todo, quieres leer todo lo que llega a tus manos, y a mi me encanta y me siento orgullosa al leerte aunque a veces llega a ser aburrido... pero intentamos darte todo el conocimiento que estas buscando, y a veces no tendremos todas las respuestas pero siempre tendrás la Biblia a la que puedes ir o a Google.

four years old and so interested in the world and excited about life...You're very cautious to make friends but when you’re in the mood you chat with all the people around you, you don’t hesitate to let people know what you think, good or bad; you wear your heart on your pocket. You´re one of the most ticklish little girls I’ve ever come across and your laugh is one of my favourite sounds in this world, especially that crazy laugh reserved for things that are extra silly, you love reading anything and everything you can get your hands and we are beyond proud of you. I’ll admit that the way to get it is a bit tedious on occasion,  but we try our best to provide you with all of the knowledge you’re looking for, my girl, and if you have a question we don’t know the answer to, you’ll always have the Bible to go to or “google it!”.

Al fin duermes sola en tu cama, aunque en ocasiones te escabulles en nuestra cama durante la noche, y  no hacemos nada, porque secretamente es algo que nos encanta. Te encantan los dulces, y me ganas en el gusto por el chocolate y la nutella, y eso es mucho que decir, te encanta el parque, recortar y pintar con crayones y pincel, y me encanta que mientras mas creces aportas mas ideas de lo que quieres crear. Amas a tu bebe, la llamaste pelona, porque no tiene cabello, muy astuta! Te gusta tener el pelo natural y suelto, sin moñas, ni nada, a veces te gustan las trenzas.

You’ve finally begun sleeping in your room most nights, and on the rare occasion when you do attempt to sneak into our bed, we secretly don't really mind ;). You love candies and you like chocolate and nutella even more than me, and that´s lot to say, you love the park, to cut, and paint with crayons and brushes, and I love that as you get older you’re taking a more active role in all of these things. You love your baby, you named her bald baby because she doesn't have any hair, clever! You like to have your hair as natural and free as it is, no bows, no nothing, sometimes you like braids.

Es difícil creer lo mucho que creces día a día  y lo inteligente que te haces... Yo tratare de estar siempre contigo, escucharte y hablarte, pero si me equivoco siempre tendrás la Biblia que no se equivoca, nunca, mi hermosa. Te amo, gracias por darme tantas ganas de vivir a diario, por ayudarme a entender lo que a mucha gente le toma toda la vida, y es que hay prioridades, y tu eres una muy especial de ellas...

It’s hard to believe that you´re growing every day, and the smart you´re becoming... I´ll try to be always with you, to listen to you, and to talk to you, but if I get wrong you´ll always have the Bible wich´s never wrong my beautiful princess. I love you, thanks for giving me so eager to live daily, for helping me to understand what most of the people never get to understand in their whole life, they´re priorities, and you´re a very special kind of them...

Ethnic sweater and a cold morning

Hace algunos días les comentaba de Tecpán, bueno, es un lugar mas frió que la ciudad, y los hoteles son de mucho descanso, el aire se siente mas puro y tiene muchos atractivos turísticos.  Esta vez fuimos a un hotel que no conocíamos pero del que recibimos buenos comentarios, la verdad el lugar es hermoso, las cabañas dan una vista muy acogedora, y estar rodeada de tantísimos arboles me da la sensación de libertad. 

Days ago I told you about Tecpán, well, is cooler than the city, y all the hotels are very relaxing, the air is fresh and pure and Tecpán is very atractive for foreigners. This time we went to an hotel we didn´t knew but we heard great comments about, the truth is that was beautiful, the cabins gives a cozy view, and to be surrounded of so many trees gives the sensation of freedom.

El lugar es frió, las noches pueden congelarte, las ventanas amanecen llenas de humedad, eso no sucede en la ciudad, por eso es tan raro para nosotros, pero esas diferencias a la vez nos desconectaron de la rutina y pudimos descansar.

The place is cold, nights are freezing, windows are wet for all the humidity in the morning, that doesn´t happen in the city, that´s why is very weird for us, but those differences disconnected us of the rutine at the same time, so we really get rested.

Hace mucho quería usar mi suéter de estampado étnico, y la ocasión de estar en un lugar frió me lo permitió al fin. La tendencia étnica viene muy fuerte este año, lo veo por todos lados, en todas las estaciones de este año, así que un par de accesorios podrán complementar nuestros closets y a la vez poner versatilidad. 

Long time ago I wanted to wear my ethnic sweater, so this occasion was the perfect one, at last. The ethnic trend will be very strong this year, I see it everywhere, in all the year seasons, so a pair of ethnic accesories could be the complement to our closets and also bring versatility to them.

Hola a todos! estoy haciendo un esfuerzo extra esta noche para escribir, ya son mas de las 12 pero no he escrito un post sobre disfrutar de las pequeñas cosas en mucho tiempo, si me lees sabrás porque no he escrito mucho últimamente... (si no lo sabes haz click aquí)

Hello everyone! I´m making an extra effort tonight for writing, it´s midnight but I haven´t posted an enjoy the little things post for a long time, if you read the blog you should know why... (or click here to know)

El post de hoy, hubiese querido escribirlo hace varias semanas cuando regrese de este paseo, pero tratare de ubicarme de nuevo mentalmente como si hubiese hoy regresado. Fue un paseo hermoso, en pareja, nos desprendimos de la peque un par de días, si tu no haces eso con tu esposo, yo te diría que es un MUST en el matrimonio, es saludable para la pareja, nosotros lo hacemos y tiene grandes efectos. 

I´ wanted to write today's post when I came back from Tecpan, but I´ll try to go back in my mind and write like today was the day I was coming. It was a beautiful journey, just hubby and I, we leave our little girl for a couple of days, if you don´t do that with your husband I have to say that to me it´s a marriage MUST, is healthy, we do it and it has great effects. 

Cuando eramos novios siempre íbamos a Tecpan, es un lugar frió en Guatemala, con paisajes hermosos y muy verdes, comidas calientitas y aire puro, perfecto para escapar del ruido de la ciudad. 

When I was his girl friend, we always went there, is a cold place in Guatemala, with beautiful and green scenarios and fresh air, it´s the perfect place to scape of the city noise.

Las pequeñas cosas que disfruto son estas, el tiempo y las actividades que hago con mi esposo o mi familia, eso aclara mi mente y mi corazón, se tratan de cosas espontaneas que vivo, veo, pruebo, siento, percibo, cosas que hacen que mi día sea extraordinario.

The little things I enjoy are the time and the activities I do with hubby or my family, that clears my mind and my heart, it´s about spontaneous things I live, I see, I try, I feel, things that make my day.

Yo pensé que podría escribir mas pero tengo malas noticias, NO puedo, debo ir a dormir, pero tengo muchas cosas que postear de Tecpan, de las vacaciones de verano de las que he regresado y en fin, de mi bendecida vida... Prometo tratar de no ausentarme tanto esta vez y volver pronto a concluir este post. Por ahora les deseo un maravillosa domingo lleno de amor, familia y amigos...

I thought I could write more but I have bad news, I CAN'T , I have to go to bed, but I have lots of thing to post about Tecpan, summer vacations and my blessed life... I promise I´ll try not to be so absent and to come back soon to end this post. For now I wish you a wonderful sunday, full with love, family and friends...

Vintage inspiration

No se ustedes pero yo me empapo de inspiración casi para todo, en los perfiles de mis redes sociales he escrito que me inspiran todas las cosas que me hacen decir OH! y es cierto. Una de las cosas que me encanta y me hace decir OH! es todo lo vintage, no por nada saqueo todo el tiempo el closet de mi abuela, y es que ella tiene tan buen gusto que es una verdadera inspiración nadar en su ropa.

I don´t know you but I soaked myself of inspiration for almost everything, in my socials profiles I´ve wrote that I´m inspired by all the things that makes me say OH! and is truth. One of the things I love and makes me say OH! is vintage, that´s why I go to my grandma´s closeth all the time, and she had such a good taste, so swim in her clothes is a truly inspiration.

Aniversario del Blog -- Blog anniversary

Primero que todo, no lo puedo creer! Ha pasado un año ya desde que escribí el primer post en este blog. Este no fue mi primer blog, pero de cierta manera es el que ha tenido mas éxito; antes escribí dos blogs, no fui constante y luego se volvió un desorden porque era demasiado constante jajaja... Hasta que mi sabio esposo me sugirió escribir mas ordenado, yo pase ordenando mis ideas por un mes (tengo una lluvia de ideas constante en mi cabeza, créalo!), todo enero de 2012 no escribí, y al final me decidí por empezar de nuevo, fue así como nació petitgraphie, hace un año ya, wow!
First of all, I can´t believe it! It´s been a year since I wrote the first post in this blog. This wasn't my first blog, but it has been the most successful; I wrote two blogs before this one, I wasn't constant and later everything was a mess because I was too constant LOL... One day my wise husband suggested me to write more organized, it took me a whole month to organize my ideas (I have a constant brainstorm, believe me!), all January 2012 I didn't write nothing, and I decided to start all over again, that's how petitgraphie was born, a year from now, wow!

Sinceramente no imagine que este blog iba a ser mas exitoso que los otros, sin embargo se fue dando a conocer de manera tan espontanea y ahora muchos  leen diariamente y de forma tan fiel este blog por todo el mundo. Mi familia que vive en el extranjero puede estar al tanto de mi a través de esto. Pero lo mas importante es la fiel amistad que he construido con varias de ustedes.
I sincerely didn't thought this blog would be more successful than the others, people started knowing about this blog in a very spontaneous way and some of them read it daily all over the world. My family abroad know about me through this blog. But one of the most important thing is the loyal friends I got to meet, I have a strong friendship with some of you.

En los próximos días el blog tendrá varios cambios, a partir de hoy también escribiré acerca de nuevas cosas pero no se preocupen, petitgraphie no cambiara su esencia.  Tengo a tantas personas a quienes agradecer pero solo haré un agradecimiento general a todos por leer lo que escribo y animarme a seguir haciéndolo, es algo que disfruto mucho, escribir, y el saber que ustedes disfrutan de leer es muy agradable.
In the next few days you´ll get to see some changes, from today I'll write about new things, but don't worry, the petitgraphie essence will stay. Tengo un regalo  no es para todos, no puedo comprar regalos para todos los que me leen, pero si puedo comprar uno y sortearlo, es un regalo por el aniversario de petitgraphie y por el día del amor y la amistad que se aproxima.
