Hola queridos amigos, como estuvo su fin de semana? El mio muy bien, comidas hechas en casa, muchos postres y llena del amor de mis dos personas favoritas, mi esposo y mi pequeña... 

Hello dear friends, how was your weekend? Mine was good, home-cooked meals, many desserts and filled with the love of my two favorite people, my husband and my little girl...

Hoy les traigo mas que todo un post para chicas, esto lo menciono porque es mas que todo al sexo femenino al que nos gustan las flores. Hace varias semanas, en instagram (petitdi), y en uno de mis post del viernes les compartí una foto de estas bellas flores que encontré en la florería, llamadas "clavelinas", al ver sus hermosos colores me conquistaron e inspiraron a hacer este proyecto. 

Today I bring you a girly post, I mention this because it's more usual that female sex likes flowers. Several weeks ago, on instagram (petitdi), and in one of my Friday's post I shared a photo of these beautiful flowers I found in the flower shop, named "carnations", just when I saw its beautiful colors conquered me and inspired me to do this project .

Si quieres hacerlo necesitas:: / You need::

Exactamente como dicen las fotografías, necesitas: jarras de vidrio, tira bordada y flores lindas. / Exactly according to the pictures, you need: glass jars,  embroidered strip and cute flowers.

1. Remueve las etiquetas de las jarras si las poseen. Yo use jarras de mis jaleas artesanales favoritas, y les removí las etiquetas, si están muy pegadas y te cuesta removerlas te aconsejo las dejes un par de horas sumergidas en agua tibia con jabón liquido, al pasar este tiempo sacalas y las etiquetas saldrán mas fácilmente. / Remove the labels from the jars if they possess one. I use jars of my favorite jellies and  I removed labels, if they're too attached and it's difficult to remove them, you can leave them a couple of hours immersed in warm water with liquid soap, after this time you will take them out very easily.

2. Ata un pedazo de tira bordada de aproximadamente 10 cm. (según el tamaño de tu jarra), a tu jarra. Trata de hacer un atado que se vea estético. / Tie a piece of ribbon of about 10 cm. (depending on the size of your jar) to your jar. Try to make it look aesthetically tied.

3. Ahora arma pequeños ramilletes de tus flores y sumergelos con agua en cada una de tus jarras. Fácil no? / Now make small bouquets and immerse your flowers with water in each one of your jars. Easy isn't?

Recuerdan que en la época navideña del año pasado hice varios proyectos, entre ellos estaban estos pequeños frascos de compotas con franjas plateadas. Y adivinen, los he utilizado también para este proyecto. 

Remember that in Christmas season last year I did many projects, among them were these little jars of baby food with silver stripes. And guess what?, I've used them also for this project.

Así que puedes tener un jardín interior en frascos pequeños... / So you can have an indoor garden in little jars...

O en frascos un poco mas grandes... / Or in slightly larger bottles...

Sea cual sea tu preferencia, puedes reciclar tus jarras de vidrio que tengas en casa y convertirlos en un pequeño jardín interior... 

Whatever is your preference, you can recycle glass jars you have at home and turn them into a small interior garden...

Que les ha parecido la propuesta? Este proyecto puedes hacerlo en cualquier época del año con las flores de temporada. Yo también los utilice para decorar la mesa de una despedida de soltera de una amiga, y se veían sencillas pero muy hermosas. Así que espero lo hagan pronto y me cuenten o me muestren como les queda en casa o donde sea que decoren. Les deseo una bella semana... 

What do you think? You can make this DIY in any time of the year with seasonal flowers. I also used them to decorate the table for a bridal shower of a friend, and they looked simple but beautiful. Season Project:: Independence Day

Hola hola, como están? yo aquí iniciando la semana muy bien... Ocupada pero bien, y espero todos estemos iniciando de la misma forma... con agendas llenas pero tranquilos y confiados. Yo quiero hoy hacer una propuesta, ya saben que cuando el día de la independencia o las fiestas patrias se acercan, en algunos países, todas arman outfits con los colores de sus respectivas banderas, ok! Porque en Guatemala no lo hacemos también?, nuestra bandera tiene dos colores básicos y hermosos, con los que todas contamos en el closet, azul y blanco, así que mi proyecto de temporada para ustedes es este: que armen outfits con estos dos colores patrióticos y me los hagan llegar por cualquier vía, mail, twitter o facebook con el hashtag #GT15SEP. 

Hello hello, how are you? I'm starting the week very well... Busy but pretty well, and I hope we're all starting in the same way... with busy schedules but calm and confident. Today I want to make a proposal, you know that when the independence day or the national holidays are approaching, in some countries, all the girls create outfits with the colors of their respective flags, ok! Why don´t we do the same in Guatemala?, Our flag has two basic and beautiful colors, that we all have in our closets, blue and white, so my season project to you is this: create an outfit  with these two patriotic colors and I send them to me by email, twitter or facebook with the hashtag #GT15SEP.

Aunque no lo crean es un desafió para mi también, pero lo encuentro muy divertido. También quisiera que compartieran todo lo que hagan relativo a la fecha, pongámonos creativas y hagamos comida y decoraciones temáticas para inspirar y contagiar a todos a nuestro al rededor con el amor que sentimos por nuestro país. 

Believe it or not, is a challenge for me too, but I'm sure we´ll have so much fun. I would also like you to share everything you do for that special date, let's get creative and make  themed food and decorations to inspire and spread all the people around us with the love we feel for our country.

Yo se que este es otro proyecto loco, pero el ultimo proyecto (que puedes ver aquí), tuvo buenos resultados, así que si estaban esperando con ansias un nuevo proyecto, ya esta para que pongan manos a la obra ya que la fecha 15 de Septiembre esta ya muy cerca y quiero ver a muchas contagiadas con este sentir, así que espero muchas fotos de outfits, comida, decoración y proyectos para compartir con toda la comunidad que permanece fiel a este blog.

I know this is another crazy project, but the last project (you can see it here), had good results, so if you were looking forward to a new project, let´s work girls because September 15 is very close and I wanna see many of you infected with this feeling, so i expect many outfits photos, food, decoration and projects to share with the community that remains faithful to this blog.

DIY:: Turning old soap pumps into vases

Los primeros accesorios para mis baños que compre fueron estas jaboneras, por todos lados tenían etiquetas de acero inoxidable, pero que creen? no lo eran, y como este blog se trata sobre hacer amigos y buenas relaciones y no enemigos no mencionare la tienda donde los adquirimos, pero fueron una estafa... 

The first accessories we purchase for the bathrooms were these soap pumps, these had everywhere and with big words stainless steel labels, but guess what? they were not, and as this blog is about making friends and good relationships and not enemies I will not mention the store where we acquired, but they were a scam...

Hace mucho los retire de mi baño debido a ese inconveniente, y el fin de semana pasado mi empleada los encontró y me puse a pensar que podía reutilizarlos, ya saben que mientras mas verdes mejor, así que veamos a continuación como los convertí en floreros...

Long ago I removed them from my bathrooms because of that problem, and last weekend my house keeper found them and I thought I could reuse them, you know that if we get greener is better, so let's see how these horrible pieces became into vases...

1. Retire los dispensadores. / I removed the dispensers.

2. Los lave. / Wash them.

3. Les coloque cinta adhesiva, uno a la mitad y otro verticalmente. / I put tape, one on the half and in the other one vertically.

4. Con pintura blanca removible para ventanas, o para vidrio, que compras en cualquier tienda de manualidades pinte las partes que había dejado expuestas. / With removable white paint for windows, or glass, you can shop it at any craft store, paint the parts exposed.

5. Retire la cinta adhesiva. / Remove the tape.

6. Y tan solo en pocos pasos tengo estos floreros que puedo volver a usar en el baño... / And with a few steps I have these vases that I can re-use in the bathroom...

O en alguna otra parte que yo desee... / Or somewhere else if I want to...

Que les ha parecido la propuesta de este proyecto, la verdad esta super fácil y lo mas importante es que reutilizas algo que ya tienes en casa, así que las animo a hacer este proyecto verde en casa... Abrazos para todos y ya mañana es viernes..!!!

Hola a todos!!!! Como estuvo su finde??? yo tuve un finde maravilloso, el sábado lo tomamos para escapar a respirar aire puro, necesitabamos oxigenar nuestra mente, y fuimos a San Juan Sacatepequez, esta como a una hora de la ciudad, pero entre montañas y arboles por doquier, comida guatemalteca rica y en fin todo fue bello...  

Hello everyone!! How was your weekend??? I had a wonderful one, we took our Saturday to escape and to breathe clean air, we needed to oxygenate our mind, and we decided to go to San Juan Sacatepequez, is about an hour from the city, but the mountains and trees are everywhere, delicious guatemalan food, and everything was beautiful...

En San Juan se encuentran las mejores fabricas de muebles en Guatemala, de la mejor calidad y a los mejores precios, así que ya estando allí, mi esposo me dejo saciar mi deseo de ver y comprar algo que desde hace mucho tiempo quería, una butaca, oh si!... Mi sonrisa esta de oreja a oreja en mi cara en este momento... Aun no la tengo aquí, la mande a hacer ese día y la traerán muy pronto.

In San Juan are the best furniture factories in Guatemala, the best quality and the best prices, so once there, hubby let me satisfy my desire to see and buy something that for  long ago I wanted, a seat, oh yeah!... My smile is from ear to ear on my face right now... Although I don´t have it here yet, is a personal design and they will bring it very soon.

Los tipos de butacas son uuuuuuuu muchos, fue difícil decidir cual comprar pero al final ustedes que ya conocen mi estilo personal podrán imaginarse mas o menos cual mande a fabricar...  Aquí les dejo muchos de los estilos que vi, hay para todos los gustos como verán, y entre ellas esta la escogida, A ver si alguien adivina y si nadie lo hace pronto se las mostrare en persona... 

The types of seats are many, it was hard to decide which to buy but in the end you who already know my personal style can imagine which I send  to manufacture... An apple

Hoy quiero decir a todos los maestros feliz día, y a mis sobrinos que tengo tan lejos "Feliz Cumpleaños", no puedo creer que el tiempo vuela tanto.

Today I want to say "Happy teachers day", and to my nephews that live so far "Happy Birthday," I can' t believe time flies this way.

El otro día me compartieron una historia acerca de como un maestro puede marcar tanto la vida de un niño, yo tuve muchos maestros, recuerdo a un par con un sincero cariño, pero ahora que yo soy una mama es como si fuera una maestra a tiempo completo y les digo no es una tarea fácil, es una mas de las facetas de la multifacetica vida de las mujeres y déjenme decir, una de las mas satisfactorias. 

The other day someone shared with me a story about how a teacher can mark a child life, I had many teachers, I remember a couple with a sincere affection, but now that I' m a mom is like I am a full time teacher and let me tell you is not an easy task, is one more facet of the multifaceted lifes of womens and one of the most satisfactory. 

Así que para no romper la tradición de regalar una manzana, aquí una manzana para todas las maestras que me leen hoy, feliz día del maestro!

Father´s day breakfast

Feliz día del padre a todos los papis que me leen... Que alegría tan grande el poder celebrar este día tan especial, tengo la dicha de tener un magnifico papa y un maravilloso esposo que es un gran padre, así que Dios me ha bendecido con dos super hombres en mi vida y yo no podría estar mas agradecida por ello...

Happy Father's Day to all the dads who read me... What a great joy is to celebrate this special day, I have the bless of having a wonderful dad and a wonderful husband who is a great father, so God has blessed me with two supermen in my life and I could not be more grateful for...

Quiero compartir estas fotografías de lo que fue el desayuno especial para mi esposo. Yo siempre comparto proyectos caseros y les animo a hacerlos y no solo verlos, pero a veces hay que dar ele ejemplo y con ello hablar, así que tome la iniciativa y realice este proyecto que fue uno de los que les compartí el la guía artesanal de regalos del día del padre, en el post del viernes pasado. No puedo creer lo fácil que fue y el resultado fue mas que hermoso, disfrutamos este desayuno demasiado...

I wanted to share these pictures with you of the special breakfast for my husband. I´m always sharing home projects and encourage you to do them and not only see them, but sometimes you have to give the example before to talk, so I took the initiative of making this project that was one of those I shared  in the Father's Day craft gifts guide in last friday's post. I can not believe how easy it was and the result was more than beautiful, we really enjoyed this breakfast...

Hola, el día del padre esta a la vuelta de la esquina y lo prometido es deuda, el lunes les compartí una muy buena guía de regalos, todos para comprar, y hoy les traigo una guía de regalos para el día del padre en la que no tienen que comprar nada, pero tienen que hacer todo. DIY::Cookie jars for gifts

Hola a todos!!! que tal de lunes??? Yo quiero decir que esta semana esta empezando muy bien para mi, estoy muy emocionada, el grupo empieza el viernes, yeyyyy...! aun no puedo creer lo que estoy por hacer... También tengo mucho trabajo y, y, y, hoy mi pequeñita me contesto por primera vez en francés Oh Dios! literalmente me derretí, la pregunta fue muy sencilla, yo le pregunte, ¿est tu un garçon ou une fille?, esto quiere decir en español: ¿eres un niño o una niña?, y ella contesto con una pronunciación perfecta, fille, osea niña... Dios mio, les prometo que me derretí, acaso tenia que tener una hija para poder practicar mi francés, jajajaja... todo indica que si y que ahora tendré a alguien con quien practicar y conversar mi francés... 

Hello everyone! How was your Monday?? I want to say that this week is starting very well for me, I'm so excited, the group begins on Friday, yeyyyy...! I can not even believe what I am doing... Also I have a lot of work and, and, and, today my little girl answered  me for the first time in french, Oh God! I literally melted, the question was very simple, I asked her, what is your un garçon ou une fille?, this means in english: ¿est tu un garçon ou une fille?, and she replied with perfect pronunciation, fille, that means girl... OMG, I promise you that I melted, maybe I had to have a daughter to practice my french, lol... looks like I finally have someone to practice my french and to talk...

Bueno el proyecto que les traigo hoy lo hice con mi niña favorita, si! mi hija... jajajaja... Bueno es nada mas de decorar un tarro para regalar galletas en él, es fácil, barato y una manera de reciclar botes de vidrio que tengamos en casa, ademas regalos como estos siempre les gustan a las personas... 

Well the project I bring you today I made it with my favorite girl, yeah! my daughter... lol... Well it is nothing more than decorate a cookie jar for a gift, it's easy, cheap and a way to recycle glass jars we have at home, plus, people always love this kind of gifts...

Necesitas:                                                          You need:

- el envase de vidrio                                            - The glass container

- tela, yo usare este tul rosado                              - Fabric, I will use this pink tulle

- listón                                                               - Ribbon

- tijeras                                                              - Scissors

- galletas para regalar (puedes ver mi receta aquí)  - Cookies to give (you can see my recipe here)

El paso a paso es muy obvio en las fotos pero puedo describirlo para ustedes. 

The step by step is very obvious in the photos but I can describe it for you.

1. Tener a la mano todo lo necesario. / Have on hand all you need.

2. Cortar un cuadrado de tela, que cubra la tapa del bote, puedes poner encima de la tela el bote para cortar un cuadrado al rededor. / Cut a square of fabric to cover the lid of the pot, you can put the glass jar on top of the fabric to cut a square around.

3. Al tener tu cuadrado...  / By the time you have the square fabric...

4. Ponlo encima del la tapa. / Put it over the top.

5. Y mides la cantidad de liston que vas a necesitar al rededor de la tapa. / And you measure how much ribbon you'll need to cover the glass jar around.

6. Debes atar el listón con un moñito. / Tie the ribbon with a little bow.

Y Voila...! / And Voila...!
